NaBloPoMo November 2012

Today begins NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) and also the month of Thanksgiving, aka Thirty Days of Thankful on Facebook.

I’ve decided to join along in the fun and will bring you my normal posts but try to add in a thankful thing every day. My friend Suzie did this via a scrapbook last year, and it was so much fun to watch. Hope you enjoy my thankful moments.

Day 1: Work

This week has been one of the most rewarding and exhausting work weeks for me. It has solidified for me that I really love my company, my co-workers, and my position. Faced with Hurricane Sandy, we knew that storms would probably hit our locations, so the team and I were tasked with coming up with a plan that would keep our service desk up and running while communicating any outages we may occur.

The work we did ahead of time provided to be valuable. Teamwork, communication, and managing a lot of information at once. While the impact of Sandy is huge, I can say that the part I played in the recovery from a business standpoint was meaningful.

Today, I am thankful for not only the job/position that I have but the entire aspect of work and the work I do. If you are a part of that, thank you!
