I got really lucky in the past twelve months and and the same pair of sunglasses without them breaking. They weren’t amazing by any means, but they did their job. For twelve months, they lasted me without losing them, cracking them, or scratching them. Honestly, I only put them away because I wanted a pair to wear to my sister-in-law’s beach wedding that matched my dress.

Not everyone has the luck I do when it comes to sunglasses, so shopping for sunglasses might be one of your (least?) favorite tasks. I recently came across where you can find sunglasses, including prescription sunglasses in a variety of options. You don’t have to leave the comfort of your home to find a stylish pair.

When I picked out my pair, I went to their website, clicked “sunglasses” then “women’s sunglasses” and scoured my options in purple. Why purple, I am not sure, but I wanted purple. Although I only had three choices in this color, all three were stylish and nice options. The style I picked was called Odelette Wayfairer with round frames and silver circles on the arms.

It took about a week to get my pair. When I did, I was excited that they came with a case and a cleaning cloth. They looked exactly as I expected.

The only thing I would have changed about them is that I would have gotten a pair with black or brown lenses instead of purple. These made me sick to my stomach when I wore them and walked around because it made everything purple. Maybe that works for someone, but not me. I tried, right? And they look pretty nice – I got some compliments on them over on Instagram.

At, there are even prescription eyeglasses that you can choose from. I’m thinking I’d like to get a copy of my Rx and have a backup pair of glasses here at home and one at the office. Smart, right?

Head on over to their site to find cheap glasses and more for your eyes. They are offering my readers 50% off on eyeglasses and sunglasses with free lenses (sale frames excluded) when you use code GSHOT50 on checkout.

Sunglasses v Becky

This summer, I have had ridiculous luck with sunglasses…and not the good kind.

One pair was chewed by the dogs.

Another was lost between my Grandma’s house and mine.

Another was cracked by junk in the console while getting an oil change.

One succumbed to Mud on The Mountain.

I chose holding tight to ‘lil Man’s leg while passing him to Greg during a wave…and lost another pair.

And two more? They cracked on my face…while I was doing nothing. If not for hearing this also happened to @HowSweetBlog, I would’ve chalked it up to clutziness.

So, if we’re counting, that makes it Sunglasses 7, Becky 0.
