Flat Iron Experts: Avanti Flat Iron

Disclaimer: Flat Iron Experts provided me with the Avanti Flat Iron in exchange for an honest review. All opinions below are 100% my own.

It’s no secret this mama has some need for help when it comes to the style and hair department. Typically, this is what my hair looks like, morning, noon and night:

It’s not horrible, it just needs some help. When I found out about Flat Iron Experts, I was sure their products could help me out. My only requirements were that my hot mess hair would be tamed, it be a quick fix for busy mornings, and I could use the product at the gym or home.

Enter the Avanti Wet-Dry Nano-Titanium Ceramic Silver Digital Flat Iron from FlatIronExperts.com comined with KQC Thermal Shine spray as the suggested plan of action.

I started with the hair above, plus a shampoo and quick towel dry. While I put on my makeup, I pressed the “on” button (holding it for three seconds to do so). The default temperature was 330 degrees Fahrenheit, and while it can go all the way up to 450 degrees, I thought this would work out just fine. By the time I had my moisturizer on, the digital reader indicated the Avanti Wet-Dry had reached the desired temperature. (What a great feature!)

After finishing up my makeup, I sprayed my damp hair with the KQC Thermal Shine and got to work. From other times I’d had my hair straightened, I decided to put my hair in sections and straighten it as such. I was amazed at how quickly my hair not only straightened but dried at the same time. There was a little bit of steam, but I wasn’t concerned because my hair didn’t look, feel, or smell like it was burning, just drying. (For you wondering how this works,  the science behind it is Far Infrared (FIR) rays. These “are electro-magnetic waves of energy, totally invisible to the naked eye, capable of penetrating deep into the human body, including the hair shaft. It therefore dries the hair from the inside out. The result is that more moisture remains in the hair shaft and there is less damage to the hair”, according to Flat Iron Experts.)

I cannot lie when I tell you that it takes me a solid five minutes flat to heat my Avanti Wet-Dry Flat Iron, spray my hair, and have it dried and straightened. I do not think that blow drying alone would be that quick! Impressed can’t even begin to describe my happiness with the iron.

Remember my requirement that I had to be able to have the same style and convenience at the gym as I got at home? The Avanti Wet-Dry delivers this. Since it weighs only 0.88 pounds, it’s nothing to put this iron in my gym bag for using on the go. Add the quick heat and a fairly quick cool-down time, and you’ve got a pleased me in the mornings when I hit the gym.

This flat iron (officially known as model WD-AVCROC), was not something I would have discovered on my own without the help of Flat Iron Experts. It’s been awarded with Flat Iron Experts “Best Wet to Dry Flat Iron” because of its durability and performance. A few more technical specs of the Avanti Wet-Dry (noted on Flat Iron Experts) include: Nano Titanium / Ceramic Technology (which “distributes heat evenly across the entire surface, retains heat more efficiently, and eliminates damaging hot spots”), Nano-Silver (to kill germs and reduce friction), and Negative Ion Technology (‘which is very good for the health and appearance of the hair”).

For the price of $159.95 for this iron, I have to say the performance is worth the spend. Add on an extra $10 to get the FIE Iron Holder (which suctions to your counter or can be hung on the wall) plus the $13.99 for the KQC Thermal Spray, too. Trust this busy mama who doesn’t consider herself a hair expert by any means, but is impressed with the performance and results (and has gotten many compliments about how much nicer my hair looks these days).
