Proskins Bloggers Challenge Final Wrap Up

The time has come to share with you my Proskins Bloggers Challenge Final Wrap Up. A few weeks ago, I was sent a pair of ProSkins Slim Leggings to try out. Since then, I’ve slept in my ProSkins and seen some amazing changes in my legs.

After 28 days of wearing my leggings at night (okay, and some evenings to get my full 8 hours a day in), I am happy to consider my participation a success. Although I didn’t shed an inch (or even a quarter) off my hips, I lost 6 inches on one leg. That means, potentially, that my legs are 12 inches smaller around than when I started this. (Note, I only measured my right leg as part of the challenge, but what happens to one should happen to the other.) Here are my official results:

So, all in all, I am really glad I participated in this challenge. Wearing at night meant I didn’t have to wash as often. I’m not noticing any issues with the leggings (such as holding shape or losing threads or pulling) that I haven’t already mentioned in my other posts about the challenge.

Since last week I learned that there are more options in the Proskins line, I think I’d love to add the shirt to my wish list. My leggings have made my skin feel softer and helped reduce cellulite in my thighs. I could only imagine they’d work wonders on my wrinkly arms.

If you are considering picking up a pair of your own, I highly recommend it. There aren’t just long options, and they come in fun colors, too. There are versions for men and for women. There are different types based on what you need. In my case, I needed the SLIM leggings to work my whole leg. You might be luckier than me and chose to focus your ProSkins experience. Whatever the case, if you have the money to spend and cellulite to burn, consider this line as an option in your journey.

Proskins Bloggers Challenge Day 23

I can’t believe it’s been another week since I started wearing my Proskins Slims Leggings as part of the Proskins Bloggers Challenge. Today is Day 23, meaning I’ve been wearing these leggings for close to 4 weeks for 8 hours every night.

This week showed some really awesome changes in my legs. I am finally semi-happy with them and logged another -2 inches this time around. See?

Of course, those darn hips haven’t moved; however, I really don’t expect them to much. They haven’t changed since, January? Otherwise, the rest of these numbers are pretty exciting.

Lemme be honest and tell you that our A/C went this weekend, so I was scared of hot, sweaty sleep. Still, I stuck with the challenge and wore my leggings (which are long) every night. No reports of over heating here! That’s a win.

Tonight, I want to share with you two other Proskins options. Proskins for Men is part of the line if there’s a man in your life who wants to work on their cellulite. Also, how excited am I about this, they have long sleeve tops including a slim version (uh, hello, get on my Christmas list and help me lose these arm jiggles) that have me super excited. Sure, I think every woman (whether they have it or not) worries about their leg cellulite…and I would be willing to bet that (like me) “bingo arms” are feared, too. How great that there’s an option above and beyond all these arm exercises I’ve been doing.

Proskins Bloggers Challenge Day 15

It’s been 15 days of being on “Team Trim”, giving Proskins leggings a try to see how they help with my weight loss journey. This week, my leggings got washed, so sadly, I missed one night of wearing them to bed. (I hand-washed them and then hung them in the shower. Just before bed, Greg took a shower and didn’t take them out before he did…so…I ended up with soaking wet leggings on Friday night.)

After 14 nights of sleeping in the leggings, I haven’t noticed any wear and tear other than the small pill I created last week. It hasn’t grown, either. The leggings are as tight on my legs as they were when I took them out of the box. And, this week, my numbers weren’t a huge jump; however, I lost one whole inch on the widest part of my right thigh!

Not too shabby for sleeping in leggings, huh? To be fair, I am 25 months into a lifestyle change and consume 1800 calories per day, packing protein and whole grains. I exercise “3 on, 1 off” and have been running and doing strength training along with wearing the leggings. They are helping increase my results during this 28 day period.

From the Proskins website, I learned that the Proskins Slims are made of compression fabric and “patented micro-encapsulated yarn”. Microcapsules are made of:

Proskins Bloggers Challenge Day 8

After sleeping in my Proskins for seven nights (I wore them for 8 or more hours a night; however, that does not mean I slept 8 hours each night, ahem), I am proud to report that:

  • I haven’t washed them, they do not smell. A wash will be in order soon, but it’s not necessary yet. 
  • I am not getting night sweats. This was my biggest fear with our bedroom being pretty warm.
  • My legs feel a little bit smoother.
  • I have dropped a few inches!

Here are my results through one week of wearing the Proskins:

The yellow indicates no change, green indicates a change. In all, I dropped two inches off my right leg in one week. I really hope to see a difference in the hips soon, in two years of weight loss, this is the area that has barely moved (not that Greg is complaining).

I wouldn’t be fair to leave out my dislikes:

  • I got a small “pull” on my leggings when my ring grazed a leg. There isn’t a run, just a little lift that’s only noticeable to me.
  • The pair I got was long (which I love), but I haven’t been confident that I can wear them to work under a dress yet (due to weather).

Proskins Bloggers Challenge Day 1

Although I have been happy with the number of pounds lost on my journey so far, I do have some complaining to do. My thighs, arms, and tummy have some serious skin sag issues. Gross. One of the things I am going to do to fix this is take part in a Proskins Bloggers Challenge for the next 28 days.

Proskins is a new to me company that helps to “shape, tone, and reduce the appearance of cellulite”. They actually found me on Twitter (have you?) and asked if I might be interested in participating. (Disclaimer: I was sent a pair of Proskins Slim Leggings in exchange for participating in this challenge and providing weekly updates/reviews. All opinions are my own.) Once I read about this company, I decided to give the challenge a try.

Obviously, I am most looking forward to losing some inches off my legs. Proskins claims they will help me with this and smoothing out my skin, reducing the cottage cheese look of cellulite. Sounds good to me!

As I am writing this, I am starting my first 8 hour session of wearing the leggings. This garment will stick with me every day. I am choosing to wear them at night because the pair I got is long, and it is too hot to wear them outside right now (although I have read they actually help cool you, we will see about that after this sleep). If I was daring, they would also work for a run or with a dress (but I would rather a shorter pair for that).

Sounds like once a day wear will get gross, huh? Well, the leggings include a silver anti-bacterial treatment that keeps the garment clean. This means they will stay grime free for about 4-5 washes during the challenge.

So, what can you expect as I participate? I will be posting results weekly. I will share ‘lil tidbits about Proskins throughout the challenge. I hope to tell you my legs are smoother and slimmer. Can’t wait to share my results with you.
