OXY® Review and Giveaway

Disclaimer: I was sent OXY® skincare products to review and giveaway in exchange for an honest opinion. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.

When I first started to need face wash, I sure didn’t think I’d still be needing it at thirty years old. ‘Tis true, I’m still fighting with spots and issues, but haven’t found the right products to keep my issues at bay. When I was contacted by OXY® to try out their new products with strong and effective acne-fighting ingredients, I figured I might as well give it a try and asked to test out the Maximum Action Face Wash and the Daily Defense Exfoliating Body Scrub.

I’d used OXY® as a teenager, so I was interested to see if the formula had changed. (My skin didn’t love the product, with skin that’s not oily and not dry but yet prone to breakouts, I had dryness issues with it in the past.) Perhaps it’s the amount of Benzoyl Peroxide (10%) in the Advanced Face Wash, but I probably should have given the sensitive a try instead. It didn’t burn my skin, but definitely dried me out more than I’d like. After a few uses, it got better, but I was admittedly nervous to continue the use.

The Advanced Face Wash retails for $6.99 for 5 ounces and boosts skin cell renewal to reveal healthy-looking skin. It is oil-free and specially formulated to soothe irritation.

As for the Body Scrub, I was impressed by the fact it met my needs. With exercise, I’ve started to encounter some acne on my shoulders. This scrub worked, and will definitely be kept in the shower for the times I need it. On the down side, I wouldn’t use the scrub on a daily basis because it’s not a soft, womanly scent and the scrubbing beads aren’t friendly everywhere I need to wash up, ahem.

The Exfoliating Body Scrub retails for $5.99 for 10 ounces and contains microbeads  to clear away oil and dead skin while 1% Salicylic Acid keeps body acne under control.

All in all, the products have helped keep me clear and would be worth giving  a try. Maybe I didn’t pick the exact right product for me, but there are plenty of options when it comes to OXY®’s products. For the price and the results, I recommend you giving these a try.

If you’d like to try some, I’m offering a giveaway for a lucky reader to try out some OXY® products–we’ll send you two of your own to try. Enter the Rafflecopter below through October 15 to win, good luck!
