When I was awarded with the Lifestyle Change Award in October, Greg wasn’t able to be with me. At the beginning of the month, he got to escort me to the Heart Walk’s Award Ceremony at the Le Mont.
Sometimes we get fancy, yinz.
It was an amazing night – reflecting on not only my journey (gosh, it’s been over two years since I started this whole getting healthy thing) but on the impact of the work of the American Heart Association through just the Heart Walk.
We know times are tight around the holidays, but start to think ahead. Right after we took this picture and reflected on the recent passing of Uncle Byron, we vowed to make a Marathon Relay team to ‘Run for a Reason’ for the American Heart Association. So many people in our lives, even more than we realized at first, have been impacted by Heart Disease. With that said, we’re looking for people to run some legs of the relay and help us raise funds for the AHA by May. Let me know if you’d like to join us.
