First “Word”

Just a few minutes ago, E was midway through his breakfast. He pulled away, looked at me, and sighed something that easily could have been interpreted as “yeah”. Someone apparently has a happy little belly.

I can’t help but think how close we are to having two talkers. A began turning babble into words pretty early.  “Mama up” came out twice at 4 months,  but she held in for another 3… When reunited with Mr. Burgher, she was throwing Dada’s up like nobody’s business. Then he went home, and she was all, “Dada plane!!!” for weeks until he moved for good. At seven months, she began what quickly would become non-stop talk.

Wonder how much longer til E’s babble turns into paragraphs? Where have the last 6 (and almost half) months gone?
