Protect with Speck

Just in time for Father’s Day, Speck Products has some options to protect your guy’s mobile devices while on the go.

As a stay-at-home dad, Greg typically keeps his iPad Mini handy for the meltdown moments that might happen while out and about with Evan and Ari. And let’s be for real – he likes to have it for trips, too. While I love the man, he’s dropped his share of devices (hence why he didn’t have a smartphone until recent). (And he is not alone…more on that below.) keep reading

Metro PCS and the Samsung Galaxy Mega

Disclosure: I was provided with a phone and one-month of service in exchange for this review. All opinions, however, are 100% my own.

Just before I went away on Girl’s Weekend, I got a gorgeous new tech gadget – the Samsung Galaxy Mega. It was perfect timing, because I had plenty of time to figure it out. Along with it came one month of service from Metro PCS, so you know I plugged that baby in and got ready to have some fun. keep reading

The Mickey Mouse Mash-Up app has my ‘lil artists getting ready for family game nights by having them “follow along with Mickey Mouse in an adventure involving their own personally drawn character! Mickey and your creation will travel through cities, visit new places and experience incredible journeys, while encountering hi-jinx and hilarious events along the way.” keep reading

The kids have been reading one story over, and over, and over today…all thanks to the new “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace” app. In the “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace” app (available on Apple’s App Store), they can be read an adventure and create their own puppet show in the theater. keep reading

Technology Tuesday: Electronic Devices are Approved

I am writing this Technology Tuesday piece at 35,000 feet above ground. My thoughts started as I sat at the gate, though. As of recent, a handful of electronic devices are approved for flights from takeoff to landing.

Southwest actually approved wifi use from gate to gate on my Friday flight! While I wasn’t going to pay the $8 to access the Internet, I had my heart set on zoning to some TV. Dish Network actually is providing free tv on Southwest flights, so that is a great bonus. keep reading

Tech Tuesday: Pinterest

Disclaimer: I decided to talk about Pinterest today, but I was not prompted or asked to.

Today’s Tech Tuesday post is probably a site you are very familiar with, Pinterest. (And if you are not familiar, what are you waiting for?) Pinterest is a site I joined about two years ago (at least it seems that long ago) to organize my creative wants in one place that I had access to anywhere instead of a bulletin board. It’s oh so convenient and addicting. keep reading
