It can’t get any more real than this, can it? My babies are 9 months old. (Hint, it can. And it does. Just wait for tomorrow…)
While this picture it’s pinterestperfect, it’s pretty darn spectacular. Ava and Isla are both sitting up, crawling, babbling (primarily in their twin code), and eating anything they can get their hands on. I can tell all of that just from the photo (see Isla’s red knee?) Just ignore the baby food on the carpet and Ava’s socks. 😉
The twins have now been on the outside for longer than they were inside.
It’s incredible to think about how quickly they have grown and become two amazing blessings. Time’s flown so much that I’m not sure I’ve shared with you that…
I was recently traveling for work and like many other moms before me, the line “put on your own mask before you help others” struck a chord with me. We moms all too often give and give and give and then find ourselves forgetting to care for ourselves. While a juice can’t completely solve that for us, Bundle Organics has a tasty option to making sure pregnant and nursing moms get the nutrients we need.
Thank you to Huggies for sponsoring today’s post and inspiring me to try Huggies Little Movers Diapers.
You’d think I would have been way more prepared for this, but the twins are on the move and it’s time to start thinking about ways to keep my ‘lil movers safe and happy in the house. Evan’s been out of this stage for almost three years PLUS we’re in a new house, so we have to think about:
When I look in the mirror, I still see a new mom, but when I look at my babies (who are now 7 months old!), I realize that my days of using that as my tagline are fast fading. Regardless of how I look, how much the girls grow, or what my reality is, I still feel like a new mom and still suffer from pangs of postpartum anxiety.
This week simply flew by. Probably doubly as fast as the last 28 Weeks have because…
Another first cold. Passing germs is fun.
Clearly having outgrown all their newborn and 0 to 3 clothes.
First time not being able to keep up with the cloth diapers (see teething).
We can technically call this an un-official 6 month post. The twins are on the move!
Our little ladies have developed so much in the past month. The picture above was yesterday, moments before AVA started to wrestle Isla (after Isla stole LaLa) and then Isla army crawled away and got stuck under a chair. I call out that it was Ava because she has been so gentle and loving, like a dog to its child-master, allowing Isla to climb on her, kick her, and steal her paci. Yesterday? She had enough.
Disclaimer: I will be attending The Mom Con as a thank you for writing this post and promoting the event. All opinions are my own. #momswhorock #momcon
Seven years ago, I was scared. Lemme be real. I was scared out of my ever loving mind. Arianna had just made her way into the world, making me a single mom at the age of 25, years before I imagined I’d be ready to be a mom. I felt alone and overwhelmed.
Is it possible for a 4-month-old to fall in love with something? Because if so, that’s exactly what Miss Isla Joy did with the 4-in-1 Smart Connect™ Cradle ’n Swing from Fisher-Price. It was love at first sight when we met the team at Blogger Bash NYC, and we clearly had to get our hands on one. It was absolute zen from our girl who has a 10-minute limit for holding still.
